Now I bet everyone else is wondering why I always put a tag 'Background Music" in every post.Simply put, it's the music I am listening to at the time I am writing something. Parang 1+1 lang divided by PI x the numerical coefficient of XYZ after finding the value of Z. Ganyan. Ang sagot dyan, look ka na lang sa sky at tumili nang walang sound.

Now repeat after me: "Kick and cross, and kick and cross, look up the sky and bend"

These are one of those Mondays where my oil glands are overly active and I am not yet certain as to what to have for lunch. Dati, pwede namang rice + ulam lang. Ngayon, kadaming choices!

Speaking of Foursquare, ay caramba! I think I lost a lot of mayorships lately. Nakakatamad na rin kasi mag check-in nang mag-check-in. I mean seriously, which normal person broadcasts to the entire population where he is?

Check-in pa ko McDo, will make agaw muna the mayorship eh. #ConyoProblems.

Kaon ta!

Oh my effing gawd... I have a cult! Didn't think people would actually take the time, effort and resources to actually read about my rants. Thank you from my bottomless pit for a heart. Well speaking of pits, I am summoning patience from whatever blackhole in the universe there is as I tackle my Monday.

For starters, Sun Cellular made my morning really messed up when I woke up to find that my BlackBerry had no signal at all. Nada, zilch, kaput, sayonara! Thank God for wifi! I actually have no concern about the SMS and the calls, it's the data I am after - no Twitter, no FaceBook, no YM no BBM. That's like stone age! It is a good thing that they solved the signal problem otherwise, I'd still be engaged in an all day Twitter war with @Suncelltweets.

Then suddenly, a self proclaimed righteous acquaintance told me to pray (out of nowhere, I dunno, baka naisipan lang nya to say hi and tell me to pray?), which I normally do when I light incense for the altar. I'm just curious why she, of all people, is telling me to pray, when the only prayer she offers is to The Lady of Gaga. Oh well, bless her soul.

Now contemplating on lunch: Beef with Broccoli (eww, karne na naman!), Sinigang na Bangus sa Miso (Yum) and Chopseuy (Hello Jethro Aranas and your mom's chopseuy with pineapples) I guess I will be having sinigang then.

Such a "regular" day... nothing more. Hoping for more excitement and if I do find excitement, let us see what we can add to this pathetic excuse of an experience (For crying out loud this is page 9 people, give me something grand and earth shaking!)

Background Music: Dead air....

*** Continuation

Okay... to continue.... I was informed that all cellular services along the path of the procession of The Black Nazarene are currently disabled for security reasons. It has been said that the good president has made a public announcement that certain groups are planning an attack during the festivities (spell festivities, ganyan). The thing is, nobody seems to take it seriously. I for one, am more concerned that I cannot tweet because I have data  services. Yes, it is my priority.

The thing about twitter is that, it can make or break relationships (Read: Ang makasalanang DM). I have formed friendships out of twitter... relationships too. The friendships did last, the relationships... well..... Sabihin na nating I prefer people now who aren't socially active.  It's less complicated that way. (And I have proof!)

Si A, well, he has his groupies but he loves to send DMs to people to flirt with them. Don't ask me who they are, I won't tell. Over my dead sexy bodeh!

Siempre, yung patola naman dyan, may I reply naman at padala ng shots of their "assets" in very uncomfortable positions. Split kung split! Buka kung buka! Bend over till the world ends.

Technology has indeed made us well.... gross. Sabi nga ni father, ask and you shall receive. Seek and you shall find.

So sue me.

I am "NORMAL"

Tupac (my white BlackBerry Bold 9700) is beyond repair. I suppose if I summon enough powers and provide more offerings to the BlackBerry gods, they will and they might resuscitate the poor thing. However, to save me from enough heartache, I decided to let Tupac go....

I am not only letting go of a unit per se. I am letting go of all of my BlackBerry Messaging Contacts, my 24/7 Twitter and FaceBook via SocialScope extravaganza, and not to mention my addictions to Foursquare and GetGlue. I am not sure how long I will survive.

Enter Halifax, the iPhone 3G I am temporarily using until I can get a decent replacement for Tupac. While I like the shimmy of the iPhone (who uses shimmy anyway) to the tune of Bam-Bam-Bam with all its animations, the poor battery life of the poor thing is beyond comprehension. I get 15 hours of juice from Tupac's battery not to mention that I carry a spare battery all the time (that being said, I am covered for one day of social networkpalooza). The signal is so poor that I get Edge when I should be getting 3G... yada yada yada.

I had tons of complaints and a lot of hangups with the loss of my BB Service, until Bryan, my friend simply told me this: "Couldn't this be another chapter of your life unfolding?"

Could it be?

I miss the noise that Twitter mentions and DMs create on my Tupac, the over the top ringtones and music playlists, the BBM Messages of friends and coworkers (including my bosses), and I miss the round the clock emails. But more importantly..., I have come to realize that I have been missing on quality time for myself, on being more "human" and less of a BlackBerry slave, on appreciating SMS and its less stressful approach...

I miss being  "regular", I miss being "human".....

Might as well enjoy this sojourn then..... before I decide to get Solstice (yes, that's the name of my next BlackBerry).
