Suroy Suroy sa Sugbu : Maribago Blue Water Beach Resort

The Visayas Regions, because of their geographical locations, are indeed gifted with not only verdant hills and planes but azure waters bordered by white sand. Yes, the beaches of the islands of Cebu, Siquijor, Bohol, Negros, and Panay prove to be one of the better beaches in the world. However, for this part of the trip, I have considered a much less obvious choice.

Maribago Blue Water Beach Resort is located 16 kilometers from Cebu City and 10  kilometers  from the Mactan International Airport. Believe me when I say that those 10 kilometers are just a breeze of a travel when you get to watch the scenery along the way. Be sure to keep your camera handy and keep your eye on the sides of the road. You will be clicking in no time.

The Resort was primarily designed as a haven of relaxation and an escape from the busy city life. That goes to say that there are spa services available at your disposal aside from the many forms of massage you can avail. And the food...awwww..a gastronomic experience of endless buffets of Filipino and American fusion. Of course, you can check the menu for something else to your liking.

I expected that The Resort's beach will not be as great as the one's I've been, considering that the location is somewhat you won't expect where a beach will be. However, the service and the courtesy of the staff compensates for this. I will not fail to mention too that the people residing in the adjacent areas are really nice, friendly and accommodating.

While the resort has many entertainment amenities to offer, one can hail a cab and checkout nearby fastfood joints, restaurants and clubs. Travel time is approximately 15 to 20 minutes. If you are on a budget or a bit adventurous, your friendly jeepney driver won't hesitate to take you to your destination safe and sound. In my experience, Cebuanos NEVER take advantage of tourists.

Enjoy!
