All Good Things (Come To An End) : Nelly Furtado

Flames to dust
Lovers to friends
Why do all good things come to an end

Broken Strings: James Morrison and Nelly Furtado

You can't play on broken strings

You can't feel anything
That your heart don't want to feel
I can't tell you something that ain't real

Strong Enough : Sheryl Crow

Lie to me, I promise I'll believe
Lie to me, but please don't leave

My Favorite Mistake : Sheryl Crow

Did you know when you go it's the perfect ending,
To the bad day I was just beginning.
When you go, all I know is you're my favorite mistake.

A Love Was Lost : Temper Trap

Our love was lost
In the rubble are all the things
That you've, you've been dreaming of
Keep me in mind
When you're ready
I am here
To take you every time

Sweet Disposition : Temper Trap

Sweet disposition
Never too soon
Oh reckless abandon,
Like no one's watching you

guess it is obvious that I am kind'a depressed.

January ends today. Boy, that was quick and fleeting to the point that I dunno what happened. I guess February is something to look forward to. And there are still a lot of things to look forward to : better health, more happiness, more blessings. I don't want to be that person who's got one foot out of the door with another foot in. There is but no other way but to move forward, and there is no other day, but today.

Time has gone so fast and here we are, almost at the end of the first month of 2012. This is the part where each of us examine ourselves and say, "where did all that time go?" Of course we know where it went, we just have to have that conversation with ourselves. People love drama.

I am not in the mood to share my thoughts.

Sometimes I feel like I'm drowning in an ocean of strange faces, and, no matter how hard I try to find names for each of these, I end up finding a name for my own.

Who am I really?

Like a cold Summer afternoon
Like the snow coming down in June
Like a wedding without a groom
I'm missing you
I'm the desert without the sand
You're the woman without a man
I'm the ring without a hand
I'm missing you

The Marvels of Sentosa

When in Singapore, one cannot miss a side trip to the island of Sentosa. In mathematical terms, Sentosa = FUN. There are a lot of ways to get to Sentosa. One can either ride the Sentosa Express from Vivo City, or ride the bus from Vivo City to Sentosa (of course, it follows that you have to make your way to Vivo City first).(Attention Foursquare addicts, Vivo City usually has promotions for first check ins to a particular location within the mall, so be alert.)

There are a lot of things to do in Sentosa. Other than the rides, one can visit the Images of Singapore Museum and check out the amazing displays ranging from wax figures to dioramas and even film shows. Of course, who could miss the huge Merlion monument which houses a gift shop and several floors of wonders. Make sure to have your picture taken at the mouth of Merlion (I didn't). And course, one can have access to the roof deck and have a birds eye view of Sentosa.

For the adventurous, I recommend The Tiger Sky Tower, Singapore's largest observation deck. Not to worry, it is safe. People are enclosed in this doughnut like enclosure, the same enclosure spins slowly as it rises to a certain level, comfortable enough to view the entire city.

Well... enjoy!

The Canopy walk in one of Singapore's Science Garden located in Sentosa. It may seem like a bridge of sorts because I am not an accomplished photographer who can do justice to it, but in reality, this walkway is positioned at par with the branches of the tall trees.

Beauty amidst the chaos of Sentosa

Flora are scattered everywhere in the island creating a balance between natural and man made structures

NOT for the faint of heart. Why do you think I convinced Bes Francis to take the bus?

I am both claustrophobic and acrophobic. Definitely NOT for me.

Of course, a photo op with the birthday boy

Probably one of the two prominent Merlion monuments in Singapore.

Merlion standing proud and loud. Raaaawwwr!

But don't expect me to raaaaawr.

Entering the Merlion Monument, you are greeted by this.

Creepy, but it's worth it... Promise!

What have you done to Ariel???

The look on this dragon's eyes is very piercing.

This is one of the cards that one gets from those fortune telling booths. This can be exchanged for souvenir items.

Of course, we had to climb the roof deck

This is a much more closer to the ground view of what we had seen at the Tiger Sky Tower

Don't ask me.. all I know is... it's freezing and it's windy!

I don't blame myself for looking so bloated. Food is great!

More! More! (Because Bes Francis keeps on insisting I should have more photos)

Again, with the birthday boy

If those pillars were made of chocolate.... I won't let anyone near.

This is probably the closest I will ever have in comparison to Hansel and Gretel's gingerbread house

Oh the humanity! Candy!

Seems like everybody is having fun

Of course we saw a familiar name, we just had to check it out.

Nobody likes to swim in the rain. Pffft!

Well I stand corrected.

To get to the other side.... a hanging bridge! Why not!

The Sentosa Express

Inside the Images of Singapore Museum, we decided to go crazy

Amazing backdrop actually

Love it.... May I take this home?

Ni hao ma? Hey it's a wax figure of a supposed early Chinese settler

I wonder how the real Chinese Opera looks/sounds like.

A depiction of probably, street life, perhaps?

Singapore is a melting pot of cultures and the Indian influences are prevalent

Let's ask him how much for the bird?

Not sure, but this looks like a ceremonial something something

Burning coals? Naah! Why not walk on fire?

You're hesitating, aren't you?

Wow, I really NEED to see Chinese opera someday

Birthday boy insists.. more picture!

And it's night time...

Time to leave?

Bye bye Sentosa
